Fiberglass Skateboard Deck
- Table: The table (in English deck) resembles the shape of a surfboard and is slightly concave. Built in Canadian maple plywood generally to 7 layers (Tables professional) or 9 layers (non-professional boards). For the professional boards are often used metals such as aluminum or composite materials such as fiberglass skateboard deck or Kevlar to reduce weight and increase rigidity. - Shopping: The shopping cart is the element that connects the table to the wheels. Usually made of aluminum, is composed of a hub connected from one side to the table and the other axis of the wheels mounted on ball bearings. Depending on the type of bearing is determined by the greater or lesser maneuverability of the skateboard. - Wheels: All four wheels are made of urethane and mounted on ball bearings and have different sizes and hardnesses. They are fixed with nuts in steel and nylon. Shape, size and material of a fiberglass skateboard deck are closely related to the evolution of technology. Today, a skateboard is made up of several parts: the table, or deck, joints, or trucks, wheels and bearings. The board (deck or board) is designed to remember the shape of a surfboard, and can be slightly concave to 7 layers (Tables professional) or 9 layers (non-professional boards). Sometimes it can also be used materials such as aluminum or fiberglass skateboard deck to reduce weight and increase strength. Below the table there are two joints, usually aluminum, consisting of several parts. The base is bolted with bolts to the table and the wheel axle is connected to the base by a pin and two rings of elastic material (rubber or bushings) that allow the axis to rotate. Using your body weight skateboarding spins in the desired direction. The softness of the two rubbers, suitably adjusted, determines the rigidity of the steering and the resulting radius curve in StreetSlalom or maneuver in streetstyle. Bearings are fixed to the wheel axles, in turn mounted on ball bearings, the whole thing is called a bogie, which can be traditional or steering angle. Between the board and the joints are added to the inserts of soft rubber to reduce vibration and noise especially on uneven ground, also favor the return to their tricks (exercise) and increase the comfort of the skater. At the ends of the axes of the joints are the cart-wheels. They are usually made of urethane, mounted on bearings and are available in different sizes and hardnesses to suit different specialties and the various surfaces, such as road, slalom or ramp. These are blocked by steel and nylon locknuts. Larger ones are faster and therefore suitable for vertical ramps, slalom, speed and the downhill longskate (stand up) and StreetLuge (prone position), while small ones are lighter and can be adapted to changes in track and flat ( flat). The wheels are the most popular 54 and 24, mainly used for performance on ramps. Within each wheel are housed two bearings spaced by an appropriate spacer (spacer). The bearings are identified according to the ABEC scale, a measure of tolerance inside ranging from 1 to 7 for odd numbers. ABEC 5 usually is a good compromise that allows for excellent smoothness at the same price. . . .
